There is no one and ultimate answer to explain the internal desire of our hearts. We need to have psychological preparation before we communicate between the self and others. We need to be aware of the tension and twisting that might hurt and damage us. When I am finding and appeasing the spirit, I also feel a sensation of asphyxia and twisting.
